2025 - 7

We had a few rainy days, a lot of sunny ones and I also had a week where I was just gone everyday. Don't worry, the cats had some one else for company while I only appeared twice a day for a bit.

(My phone could not deal with light today for some reason, but I was already running late on updates!)
The mint is a little skinny but it is blooming. The lavas got hit by a lot of sun while I was away and the few rainy days after didn't bring it all back afterwards. There's plenty of it still growing, but some are going yellow and drying out. I do still harvest a bit every other day though! Some of the potatoes got devoured by bugs in my absence. I suppose it also means I didn't spot moths and whatever else in time.

The strawberry leaves are looking a little chomped, but I did manage to get a bunch of the berries when it all bloomed a bit ago. I keep a shade over it, but I think some bugs just crawled over from the bin next to it.

Some of the tomatoes I planted a little too late, maybe, are starting to really form. Some got a little too dry though. It's been a meh year so far. The herbs always do nice along with strawberries and the odd potato. I should rework the whole way I set my planters and see if I can shuffle everything around a little.

2025 - 6

It's been a little rough out here. We've had a few very hot, long days inbetween just stuffy and hard to breath warmth.
I also was gone here and there a few days, so some of the plants got blasted by the sun way too much and I was too late to do anything.

Some of the potatoes are not having a fun time. Part of the problem is that this year I've let more then 1 plant grow in the containers. I think the battles they are having for the water is too much in this dry, painful heat.
The Lavas on the other hand has been popping off! I throw it into so many of my meals and a lot of the ones growing are flowering! I've been getting a good amount of bees coming by the last week!

The strawberries are doing alright, Some of the leaves gave up here and there, but they grow and I've been able to pluck some for dessert over the past month.
I've thrown over some simple netting that also functions very meekly as a little bit of shade.

2025 - 5

We had some sunny days followed by very rainy days! Potatoes are doing good, Strawberries are growing tall and some already started blooming.

I've moved a bunch of the pots around and Also sowed a bunch of flowers in small bins.

Nothing much honestly!

2025 - 4

Lots of Lavas has popped up on it's own in these little planters! I've spaced them out a bit more and might drop a bunch off in waves at the little local green library.

Some of the potatoes in grey containers are starting to grow, too!

The strawberries are starting to grow tall and looking greener and greener again.

I did have a problem where a bunch of my tomatoe sprouts got knocked over on the balcony due to wind. We'll see how we do!

2025 - 3

I've started with pre-seeding some stuff! Beans, Gold Flower, Leek, some Shrub Tomatoes and some herbs and others.

Gonna direct seed some stuff later on once the temperature gets stable. Soon I'll be able to share little sprouts at the green library again!

2025 - 2

Nothing much really. Strawberries are still fine, the Lavos, too. It's starting to get a little warmer though, soon I can preseed some stuff and we can get cracking again!

I did poach a little vine plant a bit ago and I'm trying to get it to grow roots. I gave it a little pinch of plant nutrition and that did help it keep it's colours, but it just won't grow right now.

2025 - 1

January is here! Nothing new under the cold sun for now. Printed and copied a bunch of my little zines for when I start going by local Green Libraries again. I still need to make a follow up I guess, but I'm thinking of just sticking with my mainstay stuff that was a decent enough harvest for the effort and space. Hope you had fun holidays!
